  • 2011 Wyoming NAEP Science Scores Released

    Cheyenne – State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill today announced Wyoming’s performance on the 2011 National Assessment of Educational Progress, known as the Nation’s Report Card or NAEP. Wyoming’s eighth grade students continue to outperform the national average test score in science. Additionally, students increased Wyoming’s science scores from those reported for 2009.
  • Wyoming State Board of Education to Hold Teleconference

    Cheyenne – The Wyoming State Board of Education will conduct a teleconference on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The topics to be discussed are the Review and Vote of the Fremont #21 Unification Order and the State Board of Education FY11 Funds.
  • Wyoming Department of Education Publishes Overview of Enrolled Act 65-Wyoming Accountability in Education Act

    Cheyenne -- The Wyoming Department of Education today released its overview of the Wyoming Accountability in Education Act. The overview summarizes Enrolled Act 65 into five categories: Assessment of Students, School Performance Rating (SPR) and Reporting, Support and Capacity Building for Wyoming schools, Teacher and Leader Effectiveness, and District Assessment systems. It also identifies areas for future discussion related to the Accountability system. Lastly the overview includes a timeline of key dates along the path towards implementation of the system. The overview itself is a key planning document allowing for the assignment of tasks and the identification of interrelated and dependent activities.
